Jan 29th 2024, was my first official day of my internship.
At the time I didn’t know that when you call an office for an internship they would say no over the phone compared to getting a complete yes in person.
Waking up that morning I felt sick. I was worried about what I learned in school so far wouldn’t apply at this office due to the fact that every office runs differently.
Within my first hour the hygienist asked me to help him prob. Observing it for a good about 30 minutes I had a good idea on how to do it. Thinking since it was my first time he would call out the numbers slow… in fact the opposite. He started saying numbers like I have 30y experience.
I also started taking scans by myself as well as X- RAYS by the end of the day.
